Divine Caregivers was founded out of a deeply personal journey—one shaped by love, resilience, and the unwavering commitment to protecting and empowering individuals with disabilities.
As a mother of a son with Autism, I was devastated when he experienced physical abuse and mistreatment at a well-known, state-approved disabilities center. This traumatic incident was formally investigated, and the findings were clear:
"The licensee failed to ensure the individual(s) were free from abuse, neglect and mistreatment. Failure to ensure safety from abuse is a health and safety risk to the individual(s) being served by the licensee."

This heartbreaking experience changed the course of my life. I made the life-altering decision to leave my full-time federal government career to become my son's primary caregiver.
Through that journey, I witnessed firsthand the gaps in the system: the lack of compassionate support, the inconsistency in care, and the urgent need for services that truly prioritize dignity, safety, and well-being.
